Short answer
Bloomreach sells two things many brands buy separately: marketing (email, SMS, RCS, WhatsApp, mobile app, web personalization and ads) and ecommerce search with merchandising and product recommendations. Its AI layer is called Loomi AI, and it now sells a Marketing Agent and a Shopping Agent on top. So the first question in any switch is which half you are replacing. The answer changes the shortlist completely.
Bloomreach is unusually direct about who it is for. Its pricing page says most brands invest $60K or more a year, that its smaller customers typically serve 500K or more monthly visitors, and that it is probably not a fit if you are still building an audience, running a low-volume program, or looking for a free or lightweight email tool. Pricing is a platform fee plus a usage fee, billed annually, and Bloomreach says Marketing Automation is typically live in about two months. See Bloomreach pricing.
Each pick had to replace at least one half of Bloomreach (cross-channel marketing for B2C brands, or ecommerce search and discovery), be sold to new customers in October 2026, and describe its product and pricing model on its own site. We read each vendor's product, pricing and press pages in October 2026 and quote prices only where the vendor publishes them. We did not run campaigns or search tests on these platforms.
| Platform | Replaces | Best for | Pricing (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Insider One | Marketing and site search | Enterprise B2C brands that want one vendor for both | Not published; demo |
| Braze | Marketing | App-first and multi-market consumer brands | Quoted: edition plus MAU and Action Credits; no free plan |
| SAP Engagement Cloud | Marketing | Brands running SAP commerce and ERP | Not published; demo |
| Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next | Marketing and web personalization | Brands on Salesforce CRM | Growth $1,500 and Advanced $3,250 per org a month, billed annually |
| Klaviyo | Marketing | Small and mid-size ecommerce brands | Free plan; Email from $20 a month (500 active profiles) |
| Constructor | Search and discovery | Large retail catalogs | Not published; demo |
| Algolia | Search | Teams that want self-serve search pricing | Free plan; Grow is pay as you go |
Insider rebranded as Insider One in December 2025. Its platform combines customer data management, personalization, journey orchestration and reporting with channels including web, email, site search, WhatsApp, web push, app, SMS and RCS, InStory and conversational CX. Eureka, its search and merchandising product, adds typo tolerance, synonyms and rules to boost, bury or pin products. In May 2026 Insider One acquired Bluecore, and in September it introduced Agent One as one system: Agent One Teams runs engagement for marketers, and Agent One Audiences adds customer-facing shopping and support agents.
Pricing (as of October 2026): not published; demo required. Its $0 Migration offer says implementation and onboarding are included in the platform fee, with one-year terms. Strengths: the closest product overlap with Bloomreach. Limits: a large platform that has changed a lot in a year, so confirm what is generally available. Our Insider One alternatives guide covers the other direction.
Braze covers email, push, SMS, MMS, RCS, WhatsApp, LINE, KakaoTalk, in-app messages, Content Cards, Banners and web messaging, with Canvas for journeys. The Braze Data Platform syncs from Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, Azure and S3 and supports zero-copy segmentation from your warehouse.
Pricing (as of October 2026): quoted; contracts combine a Platform Edition (Go, Select, Pro or Enterprise), Monthly Active Users and profiles, and Action Credits. No free plan, though Braze offers trials and startup programs. Strengths: in-app and real-time depth. Limits: Braze does not list a site search product, so it replaces only the marketing half. Compare it with Klaviyo in our Klaviyo vs Braze breakdown.
SAP renamed SAP Emarsys to SAP Engagement Cloud. It orchestrates campaigns across web, email, SMS, mobile apps and ads, uses Joule for agentic AI, integrates natively with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Customer Data Platform, and offers turnkey integrations with SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud. It supports both B2C and B2B data models and includes loyalty features and more than 60 prebuilt strategies by industry.
Pricing (as of October 2026): not published; request a demo through SAP Engagement Cloud. Strengths: it activates operational data such as inventory or order status for engagement. Limits: most of its advantage depends on already running SAP.
Marketing Cloud Next brings Agentforce campaign creation, multi-channel journeys and forms and landing pages to the Salesforce CRM. Advanced adds path experimentation and two-way SMS and WhatsApp conversations, and Salesforce Personalization (web, mobile app and email personalization with product recommendations) is sold separately.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Growth Edition $1,500 per org a month and Advanced Edition $3,250 per org a month, billed annually; Salesforce Personalization $8,000 per org a month, billed annually. See Salesforce marketing pricing. Strengths: published prices and one CRM. Limits: personalization adds a large separate fee. Our Salesforce Marketing Cloud alternatives roundup covers the other side.
Klaviyo calls itself the autonomous B2C CRM: email, SMS, RCS, WhatsApp, mobile push and in-app, social and onsite personalization, built on the Klaviyo Data Platform with 350+ pre-built integrations. Composer builds campaigns from a prompt, and Customer Agent answers shoppers.
Pricing (as of October 2026): free for up to 250 active profiles and 500 emails a month; at 500 active profiles the Klaviyo pricing page estimates Email at $20 a month and Marketing at $90 a month. Strengths: starts free and prices by active profiles. Limits: no site search or merchandising product. Our list of ecommerce marketing automation platforms has more in this tier.
Constructor focuses on ecommerce: search and autosuggest, browse, recommendations, collections, quizzes, retail media and an AI Shopping Agent, run by what it calls a Commerce Reasoning Engine. Merchandiser controls and a Merchant Intelligence Agent explain and adjust rankings.
Pricing (as of October 2026): not published; book a demo at Constructor. Strengths: retail-specific discovery. Limits: built around product discovery; it also lists cross-channel and offsite discovery for email, SMS and mobile notifications, so check whether that covers your messaging or you still need an engagement platform.
Algolia sells search and recommendations on a Free plan, Grow (keyword search), Grow Plus (adds AI ranking, AI synonyms and advanced personalization) and a custom-priced enterprise plan on an annual contract that adds NeuralSearch and real-time personalization.
Pricing (as of October 2026): a free plan with 10,000 search requests a month and 50,000 records; Grow includes 10,000 search requests a month, then $0.50 per additional 1,000; Grow Plus charges $1.75 per additional 1,000; the enterprise plan is custom. See Algolia pricing. Strengths: you can start without talking to sales. Limits: the AI ranking and personalization features sit on Grow Plus and above, and NeuralSearch only on the enterprise plan.
Split the decision. For the marketing half, Insider One and Braze compete at enterprise scale, SAP and Salesforce win when you already run their suites, and Klaviyo wins on cost for smaller stores. For the search half, compare Constructor and Algolia on your own catalog and queries. If you want one vendor for both, start with Insider One, which sells journeys across messaging channels and Eureka site search. Our guide to website personalization software covers onsite tools in more depth.
