Short answer
Every ad network reports installs by its own rules, so their dashboards rarely agree with each other. A mobile measurement partner (MMP) settles the argument: one SDK in your app, one set of attribution rules, and one number per campaign that finance can trust. MMPs also collect Apple's SKAdNetwork postbacks for iOS campaigns.
An MMP answers "which campaign brought this user in?" It is not the same as marketing attribution software, which assigns credit across web and CRM journeys, or marketing mix modeling software, which estimates channel impact from aggregate spend. Once the user is in, keeping them is the job of the mobile marketing platforms that send push and in-app messages.
Each tool had to attribute paid mobile app installs across ad networks with its own SDK, support SKAdNetwork reporting, and be sold to new customers in October 2026. We checked current names and ownership on each vendor's own site, then read plan names, billing units and published prices on their pricing pages in October 2026. Where a price is quoted, we say so. We did not run campaigns through these tools.

AppsFlyer's measurement suite covers mobile, web, CTV and PC and console attribution, alongside a deep linking suite, fraud protection, a data clean room and an agentic AI suite with an MCP server. It counts a conversion as an install, re-engagement or re-attribution it attributes to your campaign; organic installs are free.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Zero is free and meant for owned media only (AppsFlyer says it is not suitable for apps with paid activities). Zero and Growth include a welcome package of 12K free conversions for the first year; after that, Growth conversions cost $0.07 each. Growth includes basic fraud protection; Enterprise is custom and adds Protect360 advanced fraud protection and CTV/OTT attribution. Strengths: breadth across platforms and partners. Limits: premium features sit in Enterprise, so budget for a quote once you scale.
Adjust's footer describes it as an AppLovin company, with a copyright line for Adjust GmbH. Its products cover measurement on mobile, web, CTV, PC and console, AI analytics in Datascape, fraud prevention, and iOS measurement for SKAN and AdAttributionKit. Its pricing page lists unlimited organic installs, impressions and clicks among the attribution features.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Base is free for small independent developers, with email support and up to 1,500 monthly conversions for the first year (up to 18,000 a year). Core covers up to 250,000 annual conversions and Enterprise over 2,500,000, both through sales with volume discounts. Strengths: a free start and a clear path to scale. Limits: no published price above Base, and growth solutions such as the Fraud Prevention Suite and TrueLink deep linking are paid add-ons on Core and Enterprise.
Branch calls itself a mobile measurement and deep linking platform. Next to attribution it sells deep links for email, social, ads, web and SMS, branded short links and QR codes, web-to-app banners, and an AI tool called Ivy.
Pricing (as of October 2026): three tiers, Basics, Essentials and Enterprise, with no published prices; Basics starts with a free trial. Basics limits ad partners, partner postbacks and data webhooks to 3 each; Essentials makes them unlimited and adds SKAN tools, fraud reporting and LTV tracking. CTV and OTT attribution is Enterprise only. Strengths: deep linking and attribution from one SDK. Limits: the Basics partner cap is tight once you buy on more than a few networks.
Singular combines mobile attribution with cost aggregation, ROI analytics, SKAdNetwork attribution, deep linking, and web, CTV, PC and console attribution, plus ETL and reverse ETL for sending data to a warehouse. Fraud prevention is included in every plan.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Free at $0 per conversion with 15,000 paid conversions and no credit card. Growth is $0.05 per conversion and adds technical support and solutions-engineer onboarding. Enterprise is custom and adds a dedicated customer success manager, cross-device attribution, SSO and an optional private cloud. Singular says you can pay by ad spend or by conversions. Strengths: spend and attribution in one report. Limits: automated data exports are an optional add-on on Growth.
Kochava has offered measurement since 2011 and today pairs attribution with CTV and OTT analytics, SmartLinks deep links and QR codes, AI-powered fraud prevention, an AI hub called StationOne, and a separate marketing mix modeling product, AIM by Kochava.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Free App Analytics is $0 a month with 10K conversions a month, but its paid media attribution covers self-attributing networks only. Foundation starts at $500 a month with 33K conversions a month and all integrated partners; Enterprise starts at $2,000 a month and includes 200K MAU a month. AIM is custom-priced. Strengths: a published path from free to enterprise. Limits: the free tier attributes paid media from self-attributing networks only.
Tenjin pairs attribution with an ad monetization suite, ad revenue analytics, LTV prediction, cost aggregation, fraud prevention, data pipelines and an MCP server. It counts a conversion as an install it attributes to a paid user acquisition campaign, and it has no add-ons: every plan gets all products.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Free at $0 a month with 2,000 free conversions a month, then $0.04 per extra conversion, with no annual contract. The paid plan starts at $200 a month for 10,000 conversions a month, month-to-month, or $2,000 a year; the larger M and L sizes lower the per-conversion rate. Enterprise is quoted. Strengths: clear prices and monetization reporting for ad-funded apps. Limits: some reports, such as native subscription reporting, are iOS only.
Airbridge positions itself around subscription apps, connecting acquisition channels to trials, subscriptions and revenue. It includes deep linking, short links and QR codes, web-to-app attribution and an AI agent with an MCP server.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Core is $40+ a month after a 30-day free trial, with 500K data points included and $0.0001 per extra data point, no annual contract. Growth is custom, based on MAU or installs, and adds 330+ ad networks, raw data export, custom events and fraud detection. Strengths: a low, published starting price. Limits: Core attributes ad traffic from Google, Meta, Apple Ads and TikTok only.
Count your ad networks first. If you buy on the big four only and spend is modest, Airbridge Core or Tenjin's free plan can carry you. If you run ten or more networks, plus CTV or web campaigns, shortlist AppsFlyer, Adjust and Singular and ask each for a quote on your conversion volume. Choose Branch if deep links drive your growth loop, and Kochava if you also want MMM from the same vendor.
Then check three details on every shortlist: what counts as a billable conversion, whether fraud prevention is in your tier, and how many ad partners and postbacks the plan allows. Our Airship alternatives guide and our roundup of customer engagement platforms cover what to do with the users your campaigns bring in.
What is a mobile measurement partner (MMP)?
A mobile measurement partner is an independent service whose SDK sits in your app and attributes each install and in-app event to the ad network, campaign or link that drove it. It also handles iOS SKAdNetwork reporting, sends conversion data back to ad networks, and usually adds deep linking and fraud protection.
Is there a free mobile attribution tool?
Yes, with limits. As of October 2026, Tenjin has a free plan with 2,000 conversions a month, Kochava's Free App Analytics includes 10,000 conversions a month (paid attribution only for self-attributing networks), Singular's Free plan covers 15,000 paid conversions, and AppsFlyer and Adjust offer free starting plans with first-year conversion allowances. Branch and Airbridge start with free trials.
Who owns Adjust?
Adjust's website footer describes it as an AppLovin company, and its copyright line reads Adjust GmbH.
How is mobile attribution priced?
Many MMPs charge per attributed conversion, such as a paid install or re-engagement. AppsFlyer does not count organic installs as conversions and lists $0.07 per conversion after its first-year allowance, Singular $0.05 per conversion on Growth, and Tenjin $0.04 per extra conversion on its free plan. Kochava sells monthly plans with conversion or MAU allowances, and Airbridge Core charges per data point above its included volume.
How is an MMP different from marketing attribution software?
An MMP measures app installs and in-app events across ad networks, with SKAdNetwork and deep linking built in. Marketing attribution software usually measures web and CRM journeys and assigns credit for pipeline or revenue across channels. Many app companies use both.
