Short answer
Every marketing vendor now says it has agents, and the word has started to mean everything from a writing assistant to software that runs campaigns on its own. This list sticks to products that take a marketing goal and carry out several steps toward it, and it says plainly what each one actually does today.
Our explainer on what AI marketing agents are covers the concept. In short, an agent differs from automation in three ways: it starts from a goal rather than a fixed workflow, it chooses its own steps (pick an audience, write the message, choose the channel and timing), and it reports back on what happened. Automation runs the rules you wrote; an agent writes some of the rules for you.
That does not mean hands off. The useful agents in 2026 keep a person in the approval loop, at least until you trust them with a channel. Look for a clear review step, a log of what the agent did, and a way to limit what it can send.
Each product had to be sold to new customers in October 2026, describe on its own site an agent that performs multi-step marketing work (planning, creating, sending or optimizing campaigns), and document how it is packaged or priced. We read every description and price on the vendor's own site in October 2026 and quote them rather than paraphrasing claims we could not check. We did not run paid trials. Vendor outcome statistics are left out because we cannot verify them.
| Product | Agents for marketing | Works best when | Price (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | Campaign Agent, Content Agent, Nurture Agent, Prospecting Agent, Agent Builder | Your CRM and marketing already run on HubSpot | Agents use HubSpot Credits; Marketing Hub plans include credits |
| Salesforce | Agentforce Campaign Creation in Marketing Cloud Next | Salesforce is your system of record | Marketing Cloud Next Growth from $1,500 per org a month, billed annually |
| Braze | BrazeAI Operator, BrazeAI Decisioning Studio, BrazeAI Agent Console | You send high-volume messaging across app, email and SMS | Not published; quoted by Braze |
| Klaviyo | Composer (audience, content and send strategy), Customer Agent | You run an online store on Klaviyo | Free plan includes $5 of Composer usage a month; paid plans by profile count |
| Questera | An AI marketing team: writer, video, social, search, ads, lifecycle and analyst roles | You run a SaaS product without a full marketing team | Starter free; Growth $49 a month; Scale $199 a month |
| Jasper | 100+ purpose-built marketing agents for content, research, optimization and translation | Content volume and brand consistency are the bottleneck | Pro $59 a month billed yearly or $69 monthly; Business custom |
HubSpot groups its marketing agents into one chain: the Campaign Agent turns a single goal into a fully planned, multi-channel campaign; the Content Agent builds blog posts, social content and landing pages in your brand voice; and the Nurture Agent sends each lead a personalized email based on where they are. A Prospecting Agent watches buying signals and launches outreach, and Agent Builder lets you build custom agents on your customer data.
Pricing (as of October 2026): agents consume HubSpot Credits. Marketing Hub plans include credits (500 on Starter, 3,000 on Professional and 5,000 on Enterprise), and more can be bought in packs or pay-as-you-go. Strengths: the agents work on the same contact records and campaigns your team already uses. Limits: credit usage is another number to watch, and the agents are most useful when HubSpot is your main system.
Salesforce builds Agentforce Campaign Creation into both Marketing Cloud Next editions. Growth pairs it with multi-channel journeys and forms and landing pages; Advanced adds path experimentation and two-way conversations over SMS and WhatsApp.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Growth $1,500 and Advanced $3,250 per org a month, billed annually. Strengths: agent output stays inside an enterprise-grade marketing suite. Limits: annual commitments at org level, and it only makes sense if you are already a Salesforce customer.
Braze describes always-on AI agents across its platform. BrazeAI Operator builds on-brand content, campaigns and Canvases (its journey builder) from a description, and can write HTML, build segments and analyze campaigns. BrazeAI Decisioning Studio handles one-to-one personalization at scale, and BrazeAI Agent Console is used for agent-driven personalization such as recommendations.
Pricing (as of October 2026): not published; Braze prices its platform on monthly active users with a credit model that also covers certain BrazeAI products. Strengths: agents act on real-time behavioral data across many channels. Limits: you need Braze and a healthy event stream first; this is not a starting point for a small team. Our customer engagement platform comparison covers Braze against its peers.
Klaviyo calls its AI K:AI and describes it as AI that creates, resolves and optimizes autonomously. Composer takes what you are trying to achieve and builds the audience, drafts the content and maps the send strategy. Customer Agent is its AI customer service agent, working from the same customer data.
Pricing (as of October 2026): the free plan includes $5 of Composer usage a month; paid plans are priced by active profiles. Strengths: store and order data are already in Klaviyo, so the agent can target by purchase behavior without setup. Limits: built for B2C commerce rather than SaaS or B2B funnels.
Questera, which publishes this blog, sells an AI marketing team for SaaS products. Its site says the team writes, posts, makes videos, runs ads and works on getting you found on Google and ChatGPT, then reports back every morning. Roles cover writing, video, social, search, ads, lifecycle email and analysis, and it works inside tools such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, WordPress, LinkedIn, YouTube, Stripe and Mailchimp. Questera says nothing ships without your approval until you choose otherwise. For larger teams it also offers specialist agents for lifecycle email, segmentation and omnichannel journeys.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Starter is free and shows a sample week of work; Growth is $49 a month; Scale is $199 a month for up to five brands and five seats. Strengths: one flat price covering content, social, ads and lifecycle work, with approval from a phone app. Limits: it is aimed at SaaS companies, so ecommerce or enterprise B2B teams will find the platforms above a closer fit.
Jasper is focused on marketing content. It offers more than 100 purpose-built marketing agents, including agents for optimization, research and translation, plus Canvas for on-brand content creation and content pipelines for structured workflows. The Business plan adds Studio for building custom no-code agents and workflows.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Pro is $59 a month billed yearly or $69 billed monthly; Business is custom. Strengths: strong brand voice controls for teams producing a lot of content. Limits: it creates content rather than sending campaigns, so you still need a platform to deliver and measure them.
If your channels are spread across several tools, read our roundup of integrated marketing platforms before picking an agent, since agents need connected data to work. What is the best AI marketing agent?
There is no single best one; it depends on where your marketing already runs. HubSpot's Campaign, Content and Nurture agents suit teams on HubSpot, Salesforce builds Agentforce campaign creation into Marketing Cloud Next, Braze and Klaviyo add agents to their messaging platforms, Jasper focuses on content, and Questera offers a full AI marketing team for SaaS from $49 a month.
Are AI marketing agents free?
A few have free entry points. Klaviyo's free plan includes $5 of Composer usage a month, and Questera's Starter tier is free and shows what its team would do for your business. Most agents are paid through a plan or usage credits, such as HubSpot Credits.
How is an AI marketing agent different from marketing automation?
Marketing automation runs the rules you wrote, such as sending email two when email one is opened. An agent is given a goal and decides the steps itself: HubSpot describes its Campaign Agent as turning a single goal into a fully planned, multi-channel campaign. Many teams still have a person approve agent work before it goes live.
Do AI marketing agents need human approval?
They should, at least at first. Questera says nothing ships without your approval until you choose otherwise. On any platform, check whether agent output goes through a review step before it is sent, and keep that step on until the agent has earned trust on a channel.
