Short answer
Tealium is not one product. It sells a tag manager for the website, a server-side event hub, a profile and audience engine, and an activation layer on top of your warehouse. Any of those can be swapped on its own, and the best replacement for one is rarely the best for another. This list is organized so you can pick per layer.
Tealium's documentation splits the platform into Tag Management for client-side tags and consent, EventStream API Hub for online and offline data collection and server-side delivery, AudienceStream CDP for unified profiles and real-time audiences, and CloudStream for activating data directly from a data cloud without loading it into Tealium. It also offers a Context API, Functions and Predict. Tealium says it has 1,300+ integrations, and its client-side tag management supports consent platforms such as OneTrust, Didomi and Usercentrics. It does not publish prices on its site; buyers are routed to a demo.
Teams compare it for reasons that sit in their own stack rather than in Tealium's feature list: they standardized on Adobe or Salesforce and want the CDP inside that suite, they need only tag management and not a CDP, they want server-side collection to run inside their own cloud account, or they want a self-serve plan with published pricing. Each of those points to a different alternative below.
Each tool had to replace at least one Tealium layer (client-side tags, server-side collection, real-time profiles and audiences, or warehouse activation), be sold to new customers in October 2026, and describe its product on its own site or documentation. We read product pages, pricing pages and help documentation in October 2026, quote prices only where the vendor publishes them and say so where it does not. We did not run implementations on these tools.

| MetaRouter | Server-side collection | Enterprises and retail media networks | Not published; demo |
Adobe Real-Time CDP combines known and anonymous data from enterprise sources into real-time profiles and audiences. It comes in B2C, B2B and B2P editions, each in Prime and Ultimate levels, and Federated Audience Composition lets you build audiences from data in your existing warehouse. Adobe Experience Platform Tags (formerly Launch) is included for Adobe Experience Cloud customers, and event forwarding, Adobe's server-side delivery, is a paid feature of the Real-Time CDP Connections, Prime and Ultimate offerings. See the Real-Time CDP overview.
Pricing (as of October 2026): not published in Adobe's documentation. Strengths: replaces tags, server-side forwarding and the CDP inside one vendor. Limits: event forwarding requires the Adobe Web or Mobile SDK, so it pays off most when Adobe already runs your analytics and journeys.
Salesforce renamed Data Cloud to Data 360. It ingests data from any source (batch ingestion and zero-copy integrations are free), prepares and unifies records into customer profiles, builds segments and activates them, and supports streaming and sub-second real-time pipelines. Customers already on Salesforce can provision it free with limited storage and consumption credits.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000, Profiles at $240 per 1,000 profiles a year, or Enterprise Profiles at $420 per 1,000 profiles a year. See Data 360 pricing. Strengths: profiles and audiences next to your Salesforce CRM, with Flex Credits that transfer between Data 360 and Agentforce. Limits: consumption pricing needs forecasting; Salesforce offers a pricing calculator for it.
Segment collects events from web, mobile, server and cloud sources and routes them to a catalog Twilio puts at 750+ integrations. The Customer Data Platform plan bundles Connections with Unify (identity-resolved profiles) and Engage (audiences, journeys and AI predictions). It has a free plan and published Team pricing. See Twilio Segment pricing.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Free for 1,000 visitors a month; Team from $120 a month for 10,000 monthly tracked users; Business and the CDP through sales. Strengths: start small and grow. Limits: not a client-side tag manager, and profiles need the Business tier or CDP plan. Our Segment vs RudderStack comparison covers it in more detail.
mParticle, now mParticle by Rokt after merging with Rokt, offers IDSync identity resolution with an identity dashboard and logs, a Profile API, Predictive Audiences, Match Boost for ad match rates and Household Reach, with 300+ integrations. See mParticle identity.
Pricing (as of October 2026): through sales. Strengths: identity built for large consumer brands across apps and web. Limits: an enterprise sales process, and its positioning now centres on paid media and lifecycle performance.
Treasure Data now operates as Treasure AI and sells its CDP two ways: a Complete CDP on managed, SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA-compliant infrastructure with 400+ data connectors, identity resolution and native messaging, or a Composable CDP on your own Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery warehouse. AI Suites for engagement, personalization and creative sit on top, and an Iceberg Catalog Management API exposes profiles and segments to other engines. See Treasure AI pricing.
Pricing (as of October 2026): an annual Intelligent CDP subscription with tiers based on profiles and behaviors, plus fixed annual licenses per AI Suite and consumption credits; quoted. Strengths: CDP and messaging from one vendor. Limits: an enterprise contract, not a self-serve start.
Google Tag Manager manages website tags without code changes, supports Google and third-party tags through templates, and offers workspaces, granular access controls and multi-environment testing. Server-side tagging uses the same tag, trigger and variable model on a tagging server you set up on Google Cloud (Cloud Run or App Engine) or another platform. See Google Tag Manager.
Pricing (as of October 2026): free; Tag Manager 360 is the enterprise version, and server-side containers run on a server you set up, so hosting costs sit with you. Strengths: no license fee for the tag layer. Limits: no profiles or audiences, so pair it with a CDP.
Commanders Act sells PlatformX, which covers trusted first-party and server-side data collection (its Enterprise Tag Manager) and a real-time CDP for profiles and audience segments, plus Adloop for ad optimization and attribution, a consent management platform and a real-time cookie scanner. It states that its data centers are in the European Union. See Commanders Act.
Pricing (as of October 2026): not published; demo. Strengths: tags, server-side collection, CDP and consent from one vendor, with EU data centers. Limits: its marketing is aimed at European companies, so check partner and support coverage if you operate mainly elsewhere.
MetaRouter runs first-party data collection and server-side tag management inside your own AWS, Google Cloud or Azure account, with identity sync, cross-domain identity, consent and schema enforcement, data transformation and replay. It focuses on enterprises and retail media networks sending signals to ad platforms. See MetaRouter.
Pricing (as of October 2026): not published; demo. Strengths: data stays in your cloud account. Limits: replaces EventStream-style collection, not AudienceStream-style audience building.
Inventory every tag, connector and audience in Tealium before you start, and move one layer at a time; tags and the CDP can switch on different schedules. Identity rules rarely transfer one to one, so read our guide to identity resolution software before migrating profiles. Our customer data platform comparison and RudderStack alternatives roundup cover warehouse-first options.
What is the best alternative to Tealium?
It depends on which Tealium product you are replacing. For tag management, Google Tag Manager (free, with server-side tagging), Commanders Act or MetaRouter. For the CDP, Adobe Real-Time CDP, Salesforce Data 360, Twilio Segment, mParticle by Rokt or Treasure AI. You can also replace tags and the CDP with two different products.
Is there a free Tealium alternative?
Google Tag Manager is free for client-side and server-side tagging, though server-side tagging runs on a tagging server you set up on Google Cloud or another platform, so hosting costs sit with you. Twilio Segment has a free plan for 1,000 visitors a month. mParticle and Treasure AI are priced through sales, and Adobe's Real-Time CDP documentation publishes no prices.
What happened to Treasure Data?
Treasure Data now operates as Treasure AI. Its about page says that before it was Treasure AI it was Treasure Data, and treasuredata.com redirects to treasure.ai. It still sells a CDP, now offered as a Complete CDP on managed infrastructure or a Composable CDP on your own warehouse.
Is Salesforce Data Cloud the same as Data 360?
Yes. Salesforce's product page is titled Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud). As of October 2026 it is priced with Flex Credits ($500 per 100,000) or per profile ($240 per 1,000 profiles a year, or $420 for Enterprise Profiles), and batch data ingestion and zero-copy integrations are free.
