Short answer
If you last priced "Marketing Cloud" a while ago, the page will look unfamiliar. It now shows three product families, a set of "+" editions, a separate agent product and a page of credits. The numbers are public; the hard part is knowing which row applies to you.
Salesforce uses these names on salesforce.com today:
If you are new to Salesforce marketing, Salesforce says you start with Growth or Advanced. If you already run Engagement, Personalization or Intelligence, you reach Marketing Cloud Next by renewing into the "+" edition of what you have, and Salesforce says there is no rip-and-replace. Account Engagement customers on Growth, Plus, Advanced and Premium already have Account Engagement+ access today, without a new SKU.
Every Marketing Cloud price below is in USD per org per month, billed annually, as listed on the US Marketing Cloud pricing page and its edition pages in October 2026. The two CRM suites are included because Salesforce shows them on the same page.

| Salesforce Pro | From $100 per user a month | Billed annually; contract required; transaction fees apply | Starter plus more customization, automation and AppExchange |
| Marketing Cloud Next Growth Edition | $1,500 per org a month | Billed annually | Agentic content, multi-channel journeys, forms and landing pages, consent management |
| Marketing Cloud Next Advanced Edition | $3,250 per org a month | Billed annually | Growth plus agentic campaigns, conversational email, RCS, SMS and WhatsApp |

| Account Engagement+ Growth+ | $1,250 per org a month | Annual contract | Includes Growth; lead nurturing and scoring |

Both Marketing Cloud Next editions include email marketing with drag-and-drop builders, send time optimization, campaign analytics, Agentforce Campaigns, AI segment creation, AI content for emails and SMS, automated customer journeys, forms and landing pages, advanced personalization, people scoring, opportunity influence reporting and Slack. The $1,750 gap buys mobile app messaging, predictive scoring, conversational email, predictive engagement frequency, unified conversations for SMS and WhatsApp, and path experiments, which are listed only on Advanced. Unified Engagement History Dashboards come with 5 licenses on Growth and 10 on Advanced, and extra business units are an add-on only on Advanced. SMS and WhatsApp are add-ons on both.
Engagement+ is the Engagement platform you know (Journey Builder, Content Builder, Automation Studio) with Marketing Cloud Next attached: Pro+ comes with Growth, while Corporate+ and Enterprise+ come with Advanced. The editions differ mainly in included volume, from 2.5M email messages and 15K contacts on Pro+ to 150M email messages, 10M mobile app messages and 500K contacts on Enterprise+. Salesforce lists Agentforce Campaign Creation, Flow and orchestration across journeys, a Digital Wallet for tracking messaging credits, and campaign planning dashboards as the new pieces.
For B2B teams, Growth+ includes Marketing Cloud Next Growth Edition, and Plus+, Advanced+ and Premium+ include Advanced Edition. Salesforce lists Agentforce Campaign Creation, native SMS and WhatsApp journeys, Data 360 segmentation, cross-object merge fields and Salesforce Flow for Marketers as what the "+" adds over classic Account Engagement. Note the catch it states in its own FAQ: Marketing Cloud Next uses consumption-based pricing, so Account Engagement customers need to buy Einstein Request Credits, Messaging Credits and Data 360 Credits to use those features. If you are weighing other B2B tools instead, our HubSpot vs Salesforce Marketing Cloud comparison covers the most common one.
The edition price is the floor. Salesforce publishes most of the usage and add-on charges, and they add up quickly once you send SMS, run agents or split into business units:
| Charge | Price (as of October 2026) | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| SMS | From $2 per 1,000 credits; setup and lease code purchase required | Marketing Cloud Next Growth and Advanced |
| From $2 per 1,000 credits | Marketing Cloud Next Growth and Advanced | |
| Additional email sends | $2 per 1,000 credits | Marketing Cloud Next |
| Flex Credits for Agentforce | $500 per 100k requests | Agentforce interactions |
| Data 360 Profiles | From $240 per 1,000 profiles | Marketing Cloud Next |
| Additional business unit | $2,500 a month each | Advanced Edition; Engagement Corporate and Enterprise |
| Distributed Marketing and Alerts | From $50 per user a month | Sales and service users sending marketing messages |
| Agentforce for Marketing Starter | $60,000 per org a year | Growth and Advanced; 50 active agentic campaigns |
| Agentforce for Marketing | $240,000 per org a year | Growth and Advanced; unlimited active agentic campaigns |
| Salesforce Personalization | $8,000 per org a month, billed annually | Add-on |
| Marketing Intelligence | $10,000 per org a month, billed annually | Add-on |
| Loyalty Management | $20,000 per org a month, billed annually | Add-on |
| SMS or WhatsApp credits | From $10 per 1,000 credits | Account Engagement |
| Additional contacts | $100 per 10,000 contacts a month | Account Engagement |
Two things in that table deserve a second look. First, the agent pricing: the edition pages list Campaign Agent features (agentic content on Growth, agentic campaigns on Advanced), while the add-ons page sells Agentforce for Marketing Starter at $60,000 a year with unmetered agentic content, marketing plan generation and 50 active agentic campaigns. Ask your account executive exactly which agent capabilities your edition includes and which need the add-on. Second, support: the Standard Success Plan is included in all licenses, the pricing page says Premier is included with Core, Advanced and Max licenses, and Signature is quoted by your account executive.
The add-ons page also lists add-ons for the Marketing Cloud Engagement Pro, Corporate and Enterprise editions, such as Journey Builder for Pro (from $1,250 a month, included in Corporate and Enterprise), Einstein Engagement (from $1,250 a month) and the Google Analytics 360 integration (from $1,250 a month), each billed annually.
There is no free Marketing Cloud edition. Salesforce offers free trials of its Starter Suite and Pro Suite CRM bundles, which include email marketing. If your company already pays for Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Enterprise Edition or higher, Salesforce says you can get marketing capabilities built into your CRM at no cost through Salesforce Foundations, by asking your account executive. That is the cheapest way to test whether Marketing Cloud Next fits before signing for Growth.
A common question is how Braze and Salesforce Marketing Cloud pricing compare. The honest answer is that only one side publishes numbers. Here is what each alternative shows on its own site, as of October 2026:
On list prices, Salesforce is cheaper to enter than Bloomreach on paper ($18,000 a year for Growth against a $60K floor), far dearer than HubSpot or Klaviyo at small scale, and impossible to compare with Braze without a quote. For more options, see our Salesforce Marketing Cloud alternatives.
Salesforce says its pricing page is for information only and that sales gives detailed pricing. Before that call, write down your contact count, monthly email volume, SMS and WhatsApp volume by country, how many brands or regions need their own business unit, and whether sales and service users will send marketing messages. Then ask:
How much does Salesforce Marketing Cloud cost per month?
As of October 2026, Salesforce lists Marketing Cloud Next Growth Edition at $1,500 per org a month and Advanced Edition at $3,250 per org a month, both billed annually. Marketing Cloud Engagement+ editions cost $2,000 (Pro+), $5,500 (Corporate+) and $30,000 (Enterprise+) per org a month, and Account Engagement+ runs from $1,250 (Growth+) to $15,000 (Premium+). Usage credits, extra business units and add-ons are charged on top.
Is Salesforce Marketing Cloud priced per user or per contact?
The Marketing Cloud editions are priced per org per month, not per user. Contacts and message volumes are built into some editions: Engagement+ Pro+ includes 15K contacts and 2.5M email messages, for example. Salesforce Starter and Pro, the CRM suites with email marketing, are priced per user.
Can I pay for Marketing Cloud monthly?
The Marketing Cloud prices are shown per month but billed annually, and the Account Engagement pricing page says all per-month products require an annual contract. Salesforce Starter can be billed monthly or annually.
Is there a free version of Salesforce Marketing Cloud?
There is no free Marketing Cloud edition on the pricing page. Salesforce offers free trials of its Starter Suite and Pro Suite, and says companies on Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Enterprise Edition or higher can get marketing capabilities at no cost through Salesforce Foundations, via their account executive.
What is the difference between Marketing Cloud Next and Marketing Cloud Engagement?
Salesforce says Growth and Advanced are editions of Marketing Cloud Next, its marketing product built directly on the Salesforce platform. Marketing Cloud Engagement is the established email, mobile and journey platform that grew out of ExactTarget. Engagement+ editions include access to Marketing Cloud Next alongside Engagement, and new customers can buy them.
Does Salesforce Marketing Cloud cost more than Braze?
There is no like-for-like answer, because Braze does not publish prices. A Braze contract combines a Platform Edition, Monthly Active Users and profiles, and a pool of Action Credits, all quoted by sales. To compare, ask Braze for a quote at your monthly active users and message volume and set it against the Salesforce edition and credits you would need.
