Short answer
The title uses the old name because people still search for it. The product itself now has a new name and new edition names, and anyone pricing a renewal should know its current shape before comparing it with anything else.
Salesforce's own FAQ says Pardot is the legacy product name for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement and that they are the same product. Salesforce describes it as a marketing automation platform built on its CRM, for demand generation and account-based marketing. Editions now carry a plus sign: Growth+, Plus+, Advanced+ and Premium+. Each includes access to Marketing Cloud Next (Salesforce calls this Account Engagement+), which adds Agentforce-powered campaigns, native SMS and WhatsApp, and advanced personalization. Customers on the old Growth, Plus, Advanced and Premium editions already have it, with no migration required.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Growth+ $1,250, Plus+ $2,750, Advanced+ $4,400 and Premium+ $15,000 per org per month, billed annually, and all monthly-priced products require an annual contract. Growth+, Plus+ and Advanced+ include 10,000 contacts; Premium+ includes 75,000. SMS and WhatsApp are add-ons on every edition.
If you are already on Account Engagement and happy with Salesforce, compare the cost of moving with what you get from Account Engagement+ first. Moving marketing automation means rebuilding forms, scoring, nurture programs and reports.
Each product had to support lead capture, lead scoring on at least some plans, automated email nurture and a CRM hand-off for B2B teams, and be sold to new customers in October 2026. Because Account Engagement runs on Salesforce, we checked each vendor's own pages for a Salesforce integration and the plan it sits on. We read product, pricing and help pages on each vendor's site in October 2026, quote prices only where the vendor publishes US dollar prices, and did not run campaigns on these platforms.

Adobe Marketo Engage is the most direct like-for-like move for a large Account Engagement program. Adobe lists a native CRM integration with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and Veeva in all four packages and lead scoring in every package. Interactive webinars and Dynamic Chat are included from Select up, and target account management from Prime up.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Growth, Select, Prime and Ultimate packages, all quoted by Adobe. Growth includes 10 users; the others include 25. Strengths: depth for teams running many programs, with workspaces and partitions on Prime and Ultimate for separating leads and data by team. Limits: no published prices, and it needs a dedicated operator. Our HubSpot vs Marketo comparison covers it in more detail.
HubSpot Marketing Hub can sit next to Salesforce today, syncing contacts, companies, deals and activities through its Salesforce integration on Professional and Enterprise, and can become your CRM later if you consolidate. It covers email, social, ads, WhatsApp and SMS, ABM tools, multi-touch attribution, Breeze Assistant and AI agents for content and nurture emails.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Free $0; Starter from $20 a month per seat; Professional from $890 a month with 3 seats and 2,000 marketing contacts; Enterprise from $3,600 a month with 5 seats, all billed monthly in USD. Strengths: prices you can read before a call, and a 14-day trial. Limits: running HubSpot alongside Salesforce means maintaining sync rules between two systems of record.
Oracle Eloqua handles multistep campaigns across email, native SMS, web, video, social and more, with several lead-scoring models running at once and account engagement scores. Oracle's help center says it replaced its old native Salesforce integration with a Salesforce Integration app, and keeps native integrations for Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle CRM On Demand.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Oracle does not show Eloqua prices on its product page and points buyers to a demo or sales. Its Marketing Cloud global price list (dated June 2025) sells Eloqua Basic, Standard and Enterprise platforms by contact band. Strengths:scoring and data tools sized for big databases. Limits: expect a sales-led purchase and an implementation project, much like Account Engagement itself.
Act-On charges by active contacts (the people you email in a month) rather than database size, and Act-On says it does not force database purges. It covers journeys across email, SMS, social, web and events, website visitor tracking, scoring, AI predictive lead scores and dashboards.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Professional from $900 a month at 2,500 active contacts on its calculator; Enterprise is custom; annual contract required. CRM integration with Salesforce, SugarCRM, NetSuite, Dynamics and more is included in Enterprise and is an add-on on Professional. Strengths: large, mostly quiet databases stay affordable. Limits: budget for the CRM add-on if you stay on Professional.
ActiveCampaign covers email marketing, multi-step automation, segmentation, landing pages and optional WhatsApp plans, with an AI layer it calls Active Intelligence and more than 1,000 integrations.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Starter from $15, Plus from $49, Pro from $79 and Enterprise from $145 a month, billed annually, rising with contact count; free trial available. Strengths: a low published entry price. Limits: Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics are premium CRM integrations on Enterprise, and lead scoring comes only with the Pipelines CRM add-on (offered on Plus, Pro and Enterprise, not Starter).
Zoho Marketing Automation offers forms, landing pages, nurture across email, SMS, WhatsApp and social, lead scoring and lead attribution, and lists integrations with Zoho CRM, Salesforce and HubSpot.
Pricing (as of October 2026): Standard, Professional and Enterprise plans (10, 15 and 25 users) priced by contacts, billed monthly or yearly, with a 14-day free trial. Prices display in local currency, with a currency switcher. Strengths: a natural fit if you are moving sales to Zoho CRM. Limits: lead scoring and landing pages start on Professional, and lead attribution needs Enterprise.
Dynamics 365 Customer Insights pairs a customer data platform with journey orchestration across email, text and push, hands scored leads to sellers, and uses Copilot for segments, content and journeys. It meters Interacted People as Microsoft Dataverse records such as contacts, leads and accounts.
Pricing (as of October 2026): $1,700 per tenant per month, paid yearly, with unlimited users, 100,000 Unified People and 10,000 Interacted People; $1,000 per tenant per month, paid yearly, as an Attach license for organizations with a qualifying Dynamics 365 app (minimum 10 users). Free trial available. Strengths: unlimited users. Limits: it is a Pardot alternative mainly for teams also replacing Salesforce CRM with Dynamics 365.
Decide the CRM question first. Staying on Salesforce points to Marketo Engage, HubSpot Professional or Enterprise, Eloqua, or Act-On Enterprise. Leaving Salesforce points to HubSpot, Zoho or Dynamics 365, where marketing and CRM come from one vendor.
Then rebuild one real program in a trial or demo: a form, a scoring rule, a three-email nurture and the hand-off to a sales queue. That exposes sync rules and field mapping before you sign. For scoring, our predictive lead scoring roundup compares CRM-native options, our ABM platforms list covers account-based advertising, and if your question is the broader Salesforce suite, see our Salesforce Marketing Cloud alternatives. Our Marketo alternatives list covers the same field from the Adobe side.
Is Pardot still available?
Yes, under a different name. Salesforce says Pardot is the legacy product name for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement and that they are the same product. It is sold in four editions: Growth+, Plus+, Advanced+ and Premium+.
How much does Pardot (Account Engagement) cost?
As of October 2026, Salesforce lists Growth+ at $1,250, Plus+ at $2,750, Advanced+ at $4,400 and Premium+ at $15,000 per org per month, billed annually, and every edition requires an annual contract.
What is the best Pardot alternative if we keep Salesforce CRM?
Adobe Marketo Engage lists a native Salesforce integration in every package, Oracle Eloqua has a Salesforce Integration app, and HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise include a Salesforce integration. Act-On (on Enterprise, or as an add-on on Professional) and ActiveCampaign (on Enterprise) also connect to Salesforce.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Pardot?
Act-On shows Professional from $900 a month at 2,500 active contacts, ActiveCampaign starts at $15 a month billed annually, and HubSpot Professional starts at $890 a month billed monthly. Check that the plan you pick includes the Salesforce integration, which is often limited to higher tiers.
What is Account Engagement+?
Salesforce's name for Account Engagement with access to Marketing Cloud Next, adding Agentforce-powered campaigns, native SMS and WhatsApp, and advanced personalization. Salesforce says customers on Growth, Plus, Advanced and Premium already have it.
